If you grew up in the 1960s through the 1970s, you were probably wishing to own a Harley-Davidson, affectionately known as a HOG. They were the fastest things going.
As the years moved past, the import bikes took the stage with more stylish and streamlined designs. Now the old king was knocked off the throne to models like Ninja and Hurricane.
After the 2000s hit, the trend moved away from motorcycles in general and Harley was in a long term slump. This year they are attempting to revamp their image by going after the younger generation. They initiated their campaign Project Livewire.
They plan to bring their first model to market with the next 18 months. It will be an electric powered bike. It sports a stylist look but for those looking for speed will be somewhat disappointed. They’re main forte is that they have a reputation from brand recognition and they are hoping that this will help them enter the electric bike market.
