Here’s a remix of my song YOUR PLAN which has been magically reworked and enhanced by my songwriting partner and Broken Ocean team mate DAVID FAR.
He added Cello, War drums and some subtle guitar parts, which has really enhanced the whole feel of this simplistic but haunting track. David’s production skills are always worth a mention as they just finish everything off beautifully.

Close now, If only
You shared, the life
Look down, disown me
Wait then, go now

Take back, the harsh words
Rethink, your plans
Headstrong, but restless
Fake smile, a clown

Into the fires,
That burned my lies
Fake dreams and conscience
All, justified

You were a bad little habit
Right from, the very start
Lunged forward and stained my heart
Did you think to stop, and change

Into the fires, that burned my lies
Fake dreams and conscience
All, justified
Maybe your eyes, they show pain.
Maybe your eyes, they show pain.

I hope you enjoyed this track! Thanks for listening, voting and commenting! Your support means so much to me!

Thorny Waves – Sketch Animation Video by @junkfeathers – Music by Darren Claxton + Get some DCMUSIC tokens!

Here’s an incredible sketch animation video which was created for me by a very talented fellow musician from America.
This should be a longer post text wise but, I’ll let the art tell the story

The uber talented guy who created this piece of visual art is JunkFeathers he’s also an amazing Songwriter, Musician and all round Nice Guy hard working dad! The original sketch of the man and woman sitting on the mountain top, was drawn by the talented Mrs C – aka TITCH & BABSThe Original Sketch

rsz_thorny_waves (1).jpg

This is what Junk Feathers had to say about the animation.

Working on this video was soooo much fun! This is my first digital animation using the free program Krita. What took the longest was coming up with the story board. Fortunately, I was able to use the super cute hand drawn cover art as inspiration. I really wanted to match the sentiment of this beautiful song. Once I had the story, the rest was a lot drawing. I used 9 layers on 5750 frames of animation! Hope you enjoy!! – Junkfeathers

I hope you all enjoy this video and please be sure to visit @junkfeathers and show him some appreciation and please subscribe to my channel and share share share!
Have a great weekend.

Wanna get your paws on some DCMUSIC tokens so you can get a nice up-vote on your Whaleshares Posts?

I really think it deserves more recognition and to also show everyone how talented my good friend @junkfeathers is!

Gaisano Grand Mall, Calbayog City, Samar, Philippines [Video]

For over two years we watched the progress of our new mall being constructed. The compiled video was a culmination of nearly two years of videos. I’m surprised with myself that I actually organized them all in one place for future use. Finally the mall opens and we get to take a look around on the inside. Handyman will obviously be my favorite store while Greenwich Pizza might become a favorite lunch spot. McDonalds has opened since this video was taken.

Flip-Flop Blowout! Whatcha Gonna Do? (Video)

Living in the tropics, my choice of footwear is always flip-flops. I can walk in the rain, swim in the ocean, ride my motorcycle, go shopping for groceries… you get the point. It gets a bit awkward though when you show up for a wedding or at the Bureau of Immigration wearing them. There is almost nothing that can’t be done wearing flip-flops. Ask any filipino. I see people in the Philippines everyday doing all sorts of things wearing what I like to call shower shoes (slippers). They play soccer, basketball, they do commercial fishing, construction and  even perform welding services while standing on flimsy scaffolding three stories high. Probably not the safest way to live. Ouch!

However, my choice of slippers is the more comfortable and upscale footwear different from just simple shower shoes. I wear nothing but “Islanders” but the fact that I can even go snorkeling with them is a plus with me. They dry out, eventually. The following video is one that I did on a spur of the moment when I had a flip-flop blowout while walking around Calbayog City in Samar.

Did you know there are flip flop gods above? Enjoy.

Slowed By Notes -Exclusive Live Performance Video –

‘Slowed By Notes’ is the second track from my EP ‘Never Grow Old’

All of my songs are recorded at home on my trusty old Zoom MRS 1608 – 12 track Porta Studio, which just demonstrates what you can achieve with limited recording equipment. I also write all of the music, lyrics and play all instruments that you hear.

Here’s the YouTube link –

Did I ever buy you flowers
oh I’ve been sitting here oh so long
remember those nights when we walked for hours
waiting for the summer breeze to come along

Well anyway girl I had you first
and I won’t have you again
well some old lucky guy come and found you there
and my heart’s been left in denial

I’m slowed by notes now just listen, listen
I’ve covered the night with scars
stayed in my room now and just listened listened
stared at the sky caving in
I just stared at the sky caving in

All I remember girl were the things you said
and those last words that you sighed
well you left me here and I’m such a mess
Well I closed the door and I wiped my eyes

I’m slowed by notes now just listen, listen
I’ve covered the night with scars
stayed in my room now and just listened listened
stared at the sky caving in
I just stared at the sky caving in

I just stared at the sky caving in in
Did I ever buy you flowers
Oh I’ve been sitting here oh so long.

Thanks to my @helpie team for their continued support!
And also, a huge thanks to @prc and the @dsound team for their continuous support for me and my music.
It is all very much appreciated!

Steemit Open Mic entry for Week 79

Here’s a brand new song I wrote for Steemit’s Open Mic contest this week!

I’ve decided to take things up a notch this week.
The music and songs we write deserve the very best sound quality possible so for that reason alone, I’ve used my trusty old Zoom 1608 Porta-Studio to capture my guitar and vocal. I use this recorder that I bought back in 2005, for everything I create musically! My new EP was produced with this old machine too, so I put my trust in it.

My Open Mic entry for week 79 is this brand new song that I wrote just this afternoon.
It’s just me, the camera, my gorgeous Crafter TAO50 guitar and voice, oh and an old scrap of paper with some lyrics, that I managed to drag from the depths of my very soul!!

Reflected In Your Eyes

This weekend has also seen the release of my new EP ‘Never Grow Old’

Exciting Times!! My Brand New 5 Track EP is out now! ‘Never Grow Old’ on Bandcamp and Available Here with SBD or STEEM

I hope you like my new song, and as ever, a huge thanks to the @openmicteam and @luzcypher @pfunk for their continuous support for us independent musicians here on @steemit

Greatest Open World Game of All Time – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Greatest Open World Game of All Time – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt blows every other open-world experience of 2015 out of the water in two important ways: its quest design and world-building.

Every quest in The Witcher 3 — from the main story missions to the monster-specific “Witcher Contracts” to the smallest side quests — feels like a part of a real, complex world. The player — and hero Geralt — just lives there, and has to make his way. Every NPC in the game goes about their own business, and if they need your help — say, they have need of a Witcher to get rid of a pesky dragon — it’s just a job. That concept — that the player is just one person in a bigger world — allowed CD Projekt Red to design quests that are unique, interesting and colorful.

Juicy Corned Beef Special at Hershel’s East Side Deli

This visit takes me to the Reading Terminal Market
and a big heaping juicy Corned Beef Special at Hershel’s East Side Deli.

Right across from DiNic’s, Hershel’s serves all the classic deli meats –
pastrami, brisket, and my favorite, corned beef.

I had the Corned Beef Special (Russian dressing and coleslaw),
and as you can see I had a heck of a time keeping the sandwich together.

I even found some on my backpack as I was putting my gear away.

About Hershel’s

Hershel’s is named after the owner’s uncle Hershel, who fled WWII era Poland to Russia, then to the US,
where he settled in NYC and got a job in 1946 as a cook in Katz’s Deli on Manhattan’s LES.

When Katz’s Deli was sold in 1989, he retired, feeling as though he made his mark.

from the website:
“Steven Safern, together with his partner, Andrew Wash, and with the support of many others,
opened Herschel’s East Side Deli inside Philadelphia’s Reading Terminal Market.

While working in his old-fashioned, Jewish-style deli, Steven is often addressed as “Hershel”
by customers who don’t know his real name.

Far from taking offense to the mistake, Steven says that being called Hershel brings a smile to his face
because it serves as a reminder of the deli’s inspiration.”

“Their food is made from scratch daily – you’ll never see any prepackaged meats or salads.
They carve everything fresh right in front of the customers and make orders to customers’ requests.
Steven believes “that’s how Uncle Hirsh would have wanted it done.””

Enough about what I  think….
